Perhaps the easiest way to find out if your engine is in trouble is to see if the “Check Engine” light is lit.
Another tell-tale sign of engine trouble is smoke. Billowing smoke pouring out from the tailpipe can often point to a gasket problem, an issue that can have an extreme and costly effect on your vehicle.
